75 Fun Fat Quarter Quilts Book Tour & Giveaway

About a year or so ago I was approached by a long time quilt market friend, Roxane. She asked if I wanted to be a part of a fun collaboration that involved making a quilt only from fat quarters. I was so excited...and nervous...but mostly excited! I decided to give it shot. My inspiration came from the basic chevron style quilt (similar to my Chevy quilt).
Once I finished my first design, I was then challenged to take that design and turn it into 5 (I think?) other designs, using the same block. That was my favorite part of the project, the challenge! I was so excited to take my design and make even more design options from it.

75 Fun Fat-Quarter Quilts is made up of 14 designers who together have made you 75 designs to choose from! The designs vary from the beautiful traditional style to edgy modern designs, allowing lots of options, styles and sizes for you to choose from!
All of the fabrics used in this quilt are from the Riley Blake solids and basics collections.
This variation of the quilt is a baby size quilt. It comes together rather quickly and makes the perfect baby gift for boys or girls! My sweet nephew will be adopting this one. :)
Keep reading for the best part...

Your quilt is gorgeous! It does not look like one that would be put together quickly...and that's just the kind of design I like! My favorite holiday tradition is singing Christmas carols with family and friends, then enjoying hot chocolate and yummy treats together. I look forward to it each year! Merry Christmas!

Baking, baking and more baking, but Santa Claus' favorite cookies are great grandma's chocolate chip cookies. He always eats all that we leave out, and the carrots for the reindeer all 9 of them are gone too.

My favorite tradition is decorating the Christmas tree! Some years it is slower than others; this year we have the tree up, with both clear and colored lights on it, an antique quilt under it, and a sleeping cat. No ornaments yet but we will likely do that when my younger daughter arrives on the 21st.

My favorite tradition is to spend Christmas eve at my son's house so I can be there Christmas morning to enjoy the delight of the kids when they open their presents. Even though I live close by it is such a fun time.

Every Christmas since our Mom's been gone, I make my sister a little something involving Angels. Usually it's a small ornament or a mug rug. I know immediately when I've found the right fabric or trim. We both love this new tradition.

Thank you for this new blog hop I have just found this morning! I am enjoying reading the posts. We will be coming together from three states ~ that is a wonderful tradition for our family to continue. Opening one gift after Christmas Eve church and playing games together. Having a special baked treat and hot chocolate while gathering early to open gifts, and our grand reading, "This is for you." The enjoyment of watching the next person open a gift ~ as they wait for mine with the kleenex packed inside. His Love is the best Gift of all. Kathleen ~ Lane Hill House

My favorite tradition is filling our sons, their wives and children's Christmas stockings. It is hard to think of five or six small gifts that would fit in a stocking for each one of them but you really have to think about each person and what they enjoy etc.

My favorite tradition is getting a photo of my kids with Santa...we have done it every year for the past 22 years...they accept it now, but really hated it as teenagers. We make a photo calendar every year for the grandparents and Santa and the family are always the December photo. Your quilt looks terrific BTW, looks like a great book too. Thanks for sharing the giveaway.

Our favorite tradition is riding through the neighborhoods that put out luminaries on Christmas Eve. So peaceful.

Our new favorite tradition since our kids married is the Christmas Present Steal Swap. After we watch all the grandchildren open their gifts, each adult puts their three presents in the pile and we draw numbers to pick a present or steal from someone before us. Some gifts are truly desired and get stolen until they are retired and some are so funny to see who winds up with them. We have so much fun and laughs! Love your quilt and thanks for the chance to win this great book!

My favorite is making small piles of christmas ornaments in all sorts of unexpected places around the house. They catch the eye with their reflections of light, and they invite a pause to look and the remind us of the specialness of this time of year.,

My favorite tradition is driving around on Christmas eve and looking at lights. This started years ago as a way to get our kids to fall asleep - they were too excited to do so - but it's stuck even after they've left the house and starting the same tradition with their kids.
I am loving everyone's variations, thanks for the opportunity to win an awesome book.

My favorite tradition is all of the family getting together for Christmas Day - the stockings, biscuits for breakfast, everyone arriving, all the women making giblet gravy, sitting down for dinner, forgetting to get the cranberry sauce out of the can (it's a tradition, too!), afternoon card and board games, divvying up the leftovers. It's the same every year, but I wouldn't change a thing!

My favourite Christmas tradition is working in the kitchen making lots of batches of mince pies, listening to Christmas music on the radio. When our children were young one of those mince pies, along with a glass of sherry for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph were left out on Christmas Eve. Now our Granddaughter continues this tradition and I still supply the mince pies! No wonder Santa looks such a fat jolly fellow! The book looks great and I would love to win it.

Our most important Christmas tradition doesn't necessarily fall on Christmas, but sometime between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day we all gather to share a meal and catch up with each other. Now that children are older, it's more challenging, but that makes it more worth doing.
