Inseparable

There's something so magical about having a newborn in the home. It's peaceful and spiritual. I've always tried to savor every single moment with my babies because I know that the time will pass quickly and I don't want to forget a single detail. So, I just sort of sit on the bed and stare at them all day long. :) I figure it's my right as a mother.
After Remi was born we had to wait several hours to hold her. She had some fluid in her lungs and was struggling to breath so they monitored her closely. The second I began to gain feeling in my legs again, they let me go to the nursery to visit her. When they put her in my arms, her heart rate jumped up and stayed consistent the whole time, until I put her down again. After that they felt it was best that she go back to the room and stay with Jason and I. :) Since then we've been inseparable.
So, if I'm not around much for the next little while, just know that it's not that I don't care, it's just that my arms are full and my heart is content. :) Lots of love from the Jenkins!

That is precious! That also happened with me and my baby. I had to be away from him for 36 hrs and it was horrible. But the second I could move after my c-section, I was in the nursery. It was awful knowing he was struggling with breathing, but I knew he would be fine. You deserve spending every second of the day absorbing everything about her. My Kellen is 6 months old now and my husband and I will stare at him STILL for hours. Congrats on your beautiful baby girl. Love the name. So happy you get to start sewing with PINK now! I canNOT believe you had a 9 pound baby....you ROCK!

I am sooooooo happy for you. I have been a blog comment slacker in the past two weeks, but she is just a perfect little angel. You must be over the moon-I mean it is evident on your face. Congratulations and much love to you and your family. Love ya!

I love this beautiful post!! Remi is beautiful, and there is nothing better than sitting on the bed and staring at your new beautiful baby girl! :) I did the same with my boys!
It's tough not be able to hold your newborn right away, but it sounds like she knew right where she should be! When Simon was in the NICU, I couldn't wait for kangaroo care time with him, and it really is amazing how just being in their mommy's arms that they can get themselves to be at the right heart rate, etc.
Congratulations again on your new bundle of joy!!! I'm so happy for you all!!
