One Stitch at a Time...
This is a classy version of my Sophisticated bag. Such a cute lil' diaper bag or tote! I just want to hug it all day long. $55.00. Just clarify that you want the black and pink when you order. The bow is what secures the bag. Oh, and it's REVERSIBLE! HELLO? I love reversible!
I call this the 3-2-1 Fabulous! Another stem from the original Fabulous! Imagine how incredible this pattern will be to purchase will all three options? Anyway, this is my favorite one thus far and I just love the fabric--brand new at Amy's Shop if you're wondering! I'm still keeping it at the $65.00 intro price because it's sold so well and why ruin a good thing?
I've been told to use a different name for this bag, but I can't help myself. This is my Sweet Pea Mini bag! It's so adorable and you can order it with either a magnetic snap or a cute bow tie on the top for closure. Just specify in your order. $35.00.
This bag is just CRAZY to me. I really like it and I keep walking around the house with it over my shouler. I was inspired by Miss Melda at the Quilt Shoppe and just couldn't wait to get it out. There's lots of bows and fun strappy things, along with the wild stripes lining, it's too CRAZY! $75.00.
And this isn't the best picture of the Sawyer Backpack, so let's just say there's a better one to come! This bag is very special. It's designed specifically for "little" toddlers, like my Sawyer and because of it's specific measurements, I am donating a portion of all of the proceeds that come from this bag to Shriners Hospital! $29.00.And finally, the Mini-Tote. I've really been into totes lately. This one stands on it's own and can really hold it's own! It's jammed with three comfortable pockets and a magnetic snap. I really like it! $35.00.
Remember there's free shipping on all orders over $50.00. And you are NOT limited to the fabrics shown. For more options visit Amy's site and email me to discuss. The supply is darn, near endless.

Free Pattern and Idea!
- 15 inches of the softest minkie you can find.
- 8 inches of fun patterned fabric.
- batting
- velcro
Tabs:
Begin by cutting your 8" of fabric in two 4" strips. Set aside one strip. Take the other strip and cut 12, 4" by 4" squares, as shown.
Fold each square in half diagonally (corner to corner) and then fold again into the shape of a triangle, as shown.
Handle:
Take your other 4" strip and fold in half length wise, right sides together. Sew around the edges, leaving a small opening. Untuck, with right sides out, press, and stitch around all four edges. You can also line your handle with batting for extra security if so desired.
Next, you will take your soft fabric and cut out two, 15" by 15" squares and one 15" by 11" rectangle with a salvage edge. Using the rectangle and one square you are going to sew on your pocket, as shown. Just sew around three edges of the rectangle leaving the top open, make sure your salvage edge is on the top, for your pocket opening.
Next you're going to use your other square and sew down all of your tabs around the edges. I put four tabs on three of the four edges of the pillow. Point all of them inward, as shown, and sew them all down.
Using the square that you sewed your pocket onto, you're going to center your handle and sew it down, underneath the pocket. Also, you will center and sew your velcro in place on the pocket, as shown.
For your final step, you need to place both of your squares right sides together, pin in place, with the tabs facing inward and sew down around all of the edges leaving a three inch opening. Untuck your pillow with right sides out and stuff it with batting to desired consistency. Hand stitch or machine stitch your opening shut.
You have now completed your travel pillow!Duvet Cover:
This was my personal project for this week. My husband and I have been going back and forth trying to decide just what we want for our bed. He's really tall, so he wanted something long that would always cover his feet and I just wanted something really soft and pretty. So, we purchased a king size down-alternative comforter for our queen size bed and then I made a duvet cover. I picked out one-single fabric (I'm not much into quilting) and then I used a sheet for the bottom of the cover. I wanted to stay within a reasonable budget and this was the best way to do it and it turned out perfectly for our bed. To do this all you have to do is measure the comforter that you want for your bed and make the cover about two inches wider and longer. We love it! My next project is matching pillows or non-matching, I haven't decided yet!

Accessory Pouch.
The accessory pouch is very similar to a wallet, but is meant for little things, such as jewelry or make-up. Even if you're just making a quick trip to the store you can stash all your necessities in here and not worry about losing them. The eyelet and tie keep this little pouch securely closed and adorable. $13.

Meet Sawyer!
So you may be wondering what all of this hype is about and so I decided that it was time for me to introduce my little guy, Sawyer. I have two boys and he's the youngest. Sawyer was born with a condition known as Achondroplasia, Dwarfism. I have a similar disorder, and so he's inherited it from me. This means that his arms and legs will never grow to their full potential. He'll stop growing probably around four feet. But I must say that Sawyer has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. He is a little baby genius (as most Achondroplasia babies are) and is just so loveable! Growing up, I went to Shriners Hospital in SLC and they provided all of their services for free, including the limb lengthening procedure, where I gained six inches in height for adaptation purposes. Shriners was the most incredible experience for me and I have always wanted to pay them back. Now that Sawyer has also become a patient there, I feel even more indebted to them. A lot of these babies need everything from CT's to MRI's to Sleep Studies and PT, as well as tonsilectomies, the list goes on and Shriners provides all of this for the children free of charge! Can you believe that? So now, here on my blog I'm hosting this Extravaganza, in hopes of raising money to pay them back. We will be having some great people participating this month and even a fun EVENT with one top company...I'm not mentioning names, but may I suggest that you check out this website?.... WWW.PETUNIAPICKLEBOTTOM.COM So keep checking back because this is going to be an incredible month for tinyseamstress!
***Proceeds earned will be donated to Shriners Hospital directly, not one individual.

Fabulous!

Isn't this bag just FABULOUS? I came up with the design one night while hanging out with my mom. She had on this shirt with some stellar cuffs and I thought, "Hey, that'd make an awesome bag!" One week later, this is what came out of it. This bag is so versatile, it's rediculous! The collar of the bag buttons up for more space and security, it folds all the way down into almost a clutch size bag, or you can do half up and half down (as shown) just for looks. I love it, especially the ruffle pocket! $75
I'm also introducing these little diaper packs. You can use them to organize your diaper bags, purses, or whatever. Perfect for diapers and wipes, or crayons and a notepad. They can be made to match any of my bags. $13 with the purchase of a bag or $17 without.Saturday, February 28, 2009
Sophisticated.
This bag can also be constructed in diaper bag form with additional elastic pockets and diaper and wipe holder for $20 more.

SWIRLY-GIG-LEAFY-YUMMY BAGS!

Christa named this fabric when she ordered her pink and brown glam bag and I just thought it was the best description for these bags! Thanks Christa! I think these cocoa colored bags are simply scrumptious and adorable! They measure the same as the Jumbo Glam Bag at 14" tall by 21" wide. They are completely lined with polka dot fabric and come with a magnetic closure, two inner pockets and one outer pocket. The straps are 21" from end to end and the bow is removable to dress down. And of course, there are little wallet-pouches to match. They will temporarily be listed at $75 and the wallets at $10 when purchased with the bag. $15 when purchased separately. So place your order now, before they're all gone.A Tiffany Sewing Tip or Two:
Well, I believe the same thing goes for sewing. If you always follow the pattern, you're never going to make something of your own. So tip #1, step away from the pattern and try something on your own! You'll probably screw it up the first 7 times like I did, but then something great will come along!
Tip #2, this is my real tip for the day! Rachel Ray says to use your hands to measure out your foods when cooking and I say use your fingers to measure when you sew. I do it all the time. I know the length and width of my hands and fingers and I always use them to measure on my bags. I don't have time to always hunt down my measuring tape, so I just use what was given to me. Give it a try next time and let me know how it works!
